Department of Business Administration

The department of Business Administration was established in the year 2002 and its success saga runs for more than a decade. The department had a humble beginning with few students and has grown to an enormous strength of 300 students. The department boasts of having vibrant faculty members, dynamic students all under a humble leadership. The department faculty unites with other faculty members which are considered key for the department’s success. Every year our students are being placed in reputed concerns like, CAPGEMINI, HDFC, ACCENTURE and many more leading companies.

With an objective of providing practical and theoretical knowledge, the department equip our students in the form of Case study analysis, Projects, Presentations, Internships, Industrial Visits, Management games and Interaction with experts from industry.

MA – Human Resource Management

The Department of MA-Human Resource Management was established in the year of 2017. The broad objectives of this M.A. programme is to sensitize students to the social, political, economic, and ecological environments of the society; to enable students to become effective business leaders and decision-makers to contribute to organisational effectiveness .The programme places importance on both theoretical and hands-on learning. While classroom learning through participation in the forms of discussions and case studies, presentations, simulation games, assignments, etc., emphasizes conceptual clarity, practical inputs are provided through the rigorous fieldwork system, which complements the classroom inputs by throwing light on the practical dimension of the profession.

Program Outcome (PO) & Program Specific Outcome (PSO)

BBA
PO-: The BBA degree aims to deliver key aspects of business understanding and professional ethics to the students. The Bachelor of Business Administration programme goes far out in supporting the students to achieve a winning career in the field of business.

PSO–: Students also acquire skills to work as tax consultant, audit assistant and other financial supporting services. Students have choices to pursue professional courses such as CA, M.COM, MBA, CMA, ICWA, CS, etc Students play roles of businessmen, entrepreneur, managers, consultant, which will help learners to possess knowledge and other soft skills and to react aptly when confronted with critical decision making.

MA HRM
PO-: To offer an insight into the current scholarly knowledge in the field of HR and Management. To integrate and synthesize the various approaches to organizational and HR problems. To develop knowledge and understanding of related norms and ethics in the field of human resources and the various laws associated with HR functions .To undertake responsibility either as an individual or as a team member within the interdisciplinary framework of human resources and related fields.

PSO-: Understand the basic concepts of Human resources management and its applications in the individual, group as well as organizational levels .Theoretical knowledge in allied subjects such as organizational behavior, business ethics , communication, quantitative techniques in management, labour and industrial laws etc. Practical knowledge and hands on training in various areas of HR such as recruitment and selection, performance appraisal, management of change, conflict, stress, counseling etc. Practical exposure to the problems and opportunities of Human resources management through the two project studies one theoretical (Organizational study) and the other practical (Problem centered study).
