TIMES OF INDIA – (22/06/19)

Placement Cell had arranged an Internship Programme for Arts and Science students with “Times of India” and were instructed to attend the Job Fair through Placement Cell.

The programme proved to be very useful for the students pursuing final year. 20 students had attended the programme and 11 students had been selected. They were entitled the work in Readers Marketing Department (RMD) and Telecalling. They are getting stipend of INR 150/- per day.
Internship programme served as an eye-opener for students, “On Working Environment” and helped them gain practical knowledge, by developing relevant skills and experience in a particular field.

“HYDRO GUARD” – (17/07/2019)

Placement Cell had arranged an interview for Arts and Science students with “HYDRO GUARD” on the College campus on 17/07/2019. The HR team from Hydro Guard interviewed the II and III years UG students. 60 students attended the interview and 40 students were shortlisted out of which 20 students were selected and 20 students were waitlisted. The Salary is INR 4,000/- and the timing is 2.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.

“BALEEN MEDIA” – (09/07/2019)

Placement Cell had arranged an interview for Arts and Science Students with “BALEEN MEDIA” on 09/07/2019. The HR team from Baleen Media interviewed the I and III year UG students. Reetha from III B.Com was selected for Chrompet Branch. The Salary is INR 4,000/-
and timing is 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.

R from III B.Com (A&F) was selected for Saidapet Branch and Salary is INR 5,000/- and timing is 2.30 p.m to 6.30 p.m. Yogeshwari T.K, Fathima Farhana.T and Hari Priya.M from I BCA was selected for Chrompet Branch and Salary is INR 4,000/- and timing is 3.00 p.m to 6.00 p.m

“AUGUST REPORT 2019-2020”

Placement Cell had organized an interview for the Off-Campus Alumni of our Arts and Science Students from various companies this month, the followings students were selected from these companies;

●On August 07th,2019- Ms K.Sajitha Begum was selected as an Executive in Allan Institute, Ashok Nagar, Chennai. Her salary is 16000 INR.
●On August 08th,2019- Ms.C .Rajeswari was selected as an Associated –CS in Sutherland Global Service, Her salary is 1,85,000 –Per Annum.
●On August 17th – Ms .R.Sowmiya and Ms. H.Revathi were selected in Excel Copier System, the salary is 10,000 pm.
●On 21st August 2019, TNPSC conducted job oriented programme at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai and 75 students participated in the programme when Ms Priya won 500 Rupees cash award from the Honorable Minister of Fisheries and Development Mr. D.Jeyakumar for her excellence in answering.

“SEPTEMBER REPORT”

On September – 3rd 2019, the Placement Cell and Employment Office had arranged the Design your Destiny – “Career Guidance Programme “ for the final year students (815 Students UG & PG) at Magesh Hall in our College premises. Ms.J.Magarani, (Deputy Director of Employment officer) and Ms.M.A.Yasmin (Junior Employment officer) had briefed the student on the features of the employment office and how to attend and succeed in the TNPSC’s competitive exams such as Group-I, II, IV, RRB, Bank Exams, IBPS Clerk, CISF, Co-Operative Exams, Educational Department job, TN police job. The programme served as an eye open for the young mind to achieve their determination.

The placement cell of Annai Veilankanni’s College for Women organised a job opportunity to our Alumni students on 19/11/2019 in Room No.29 at 10.30 a.m. HDFC Bank recruiters Mr M. Harivarma, ASM Corporate Sales and his team visited the campus to recruit students for full time job for the post of Officer to handle Corporate Clients. Alumni students of 2018 and 2019 attended the interview. Around 9 students were selected with the salary 12K + Incentives.

“HTC GLOBAL SERVICES (27/11/2019)”

Annai Veilankanni’s College for Women organised a Campus drive for HTC Global Services on 27.11.2019 at Mahesh Hall. Ms. K. Anitha Menon, Head- Human Resource and her team Mr Sridhar and Mr Prabhakar from Acroamatic Technologies Pvt Ltd., visited the college to conduct the interview. The efficient students based on their skills were recruited for Part time job cum Internship with salary Rs 5000. The timing is from 3.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. with transportation facility. Students those who were willing to join were asked to bring the acknowledge letter from their parents before joining the company. Around 100 students from second and third years attended the interview. 50 students got selected in the interview conducted. The interview was of three rounds which started with Aptitude Test, Personal Interview and Group Discussion respectively.

“Broadgate Infonet (29/11/2019)”

The placement cell of Annai Veilankanni’s College for Women organised a pre placement training program for all the third year students on 29/11/2019 at Mahesh Hall. The training was given by a team of members, Mr K. Vijayakumar, Nodel Officer, Mr Sathiya Narayan, Manager, Mr Prince Thomas, and Mr. M. Rathinavel, Trainer, and Mr Stephen, Admin who came from Broadgate Infonet, a UK Software Development and Consultancy Company which has a division of Skill Development Academy in India. It is a registered company under the Ministry of Skills Development & Entrepreneurship, the Government of India. They train a common human skilled person to skilled professionals. All the UG and PG final year students attended the training program which was very useful to the students.

“CAPGEMINI (06/12/2019)”

Global Talent Track a premiere sourcing and training partner for Capgemini Business Services (India) Limited in Chennai, conducted Campus drive in Annai Veilankanni’s College for Women on 06.12.2019 at Mahesh Hall. They give an opportunity to aspiring students to become a part of world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology, outsourcing services and local professional services. B.Com & BBA final year students with minimum 60% aggregate (no arrears) attended the interview. The interview process was conducted by Ms S. Kanchana, Recruiter and Mr R. Dinesh, Sr. Recruiter. They started the session with briefing and orientation by GTT. Then the students faced Aptitude Test and Personal Interview. 19 students got selected. The selected students have to complete the training provided by GTT for 40 days with no stipend or salary. After the training period they will be given a package of 1.75 LPA. They will be provided with pick up/ drop facility.
